In the spirit of Ramadan, the first ep of CETUSAN invite the Malay community to do a self-reflection, especially and the kind of image it wants to project as Singapore Malay/Muslims. This is quite timely, not only due to the threat of terrorism and radical ideology, but also the rising call for exclusivity within certain quarters, which in return invites suspicion and Islamophobia. Given such context, can Malay/Muslims here re-evaluate their identity and perhaps embrace a uniquely Singaporean Muslim character?
