Four local chefs go on a mission to bring back a recipe that is disappearing from Singapore’s dining tables and make us fall in love with it again. In their search, they discover the history of each dish and its place in shaping Singapore’s food culture. Each week, a chef journeys across Singapore and even beyond to bring back traditional recipes, ingredients and techniques. Along the way, he meets historians, hawkers and even grandmothers, each possessing a piece of the culinary puzzle. The chef begins a challenging experiment in the kitchen, hoping that he can come up with a way to recreate the dish that will make it popular again.
