The story of our planet has lasted billions of years but the reality of climate change has the power to radically reshape our future. There is an urgency to the issue with ice sheets continuing to melt in the Artic and Antarctic and the warming of the seas hitting hard the lives of people on the equator. With Singapore importing 90% of its food, it is particularly vulnerable to the implications of climate change. This three part television series will explore the threat climate change poses and what is being done to protect our food resources in the face of it. The series will follow the journey of two Singapore women on a journey to the Antarctic to witness the threats of Climate Change on our lives and what is being done globally and locally to manage the impact on our future ways of life. In particular we will look into the impact and responses on food security, water and energy – all of which are critical to sustaining life on earth.
