It has been a long 22-year wait, but Singapore men’s bowlers finally got their hands on a South-East Asian (SEA) Games team gold medal! At the Sunway Mega Lanes, the Singaporean quintet, comprising Basil Ng, Jaris Goh, Darren Ong, Keith Saw and Cheah Ray Han, posted a score of 6,399 pinfalls to emerge top of the seven-team field. The last time Singapore won a men’s team gold at the regional event was in 1995, when Ricky Ng, Tommy Ong, Jack Wong, Sam Goh and Lim Choon Heng emerged victorious at the Thailand Games.
